The Hour Glass, one of the world's leading specialist watch retailers, is partnering with the celebrated Swiss clockmaker L’Epée 1839 for ART SG 2025, Asia’s foremost contemporary art fair. This partnership showcases a visionary marriage between horological innovation and artistic craftsmanship, embodying both tradition and modernity.


At the heart of this collaboration is L’Epée 1839’s exceptional horological artistry, which has been revered for nearly two centuries. Known for pushing boundaries in clockmaking design, the Maison presents a series of captivating time sculptures that perfectly pair the worlds of precision engineering and artistic imagination. These creations redefine the concept of time, transforming functional objects into masterpieces of form and design.

ART SG 2025 will take place from Friday to Sunday, January 17 – 19, at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre. A private preview screening on January 16 will be by invitation only, followed by a Vernissage session later that day.

Visitors to ART SG 2025 are invited to immerse themselves in the thoughtfully curated installation from The Hour Glass, which features L’Epée 1839’s most iconic creations. Among the highlights include popular works of art like the Dragon, a majestic creation that resembles the mythical beast in its natural form; Time Flies, a miniaturised airplane modelled from its counterpart in the 1930s; and the T35, which was introduced during L’Epée 1839’s 185th anniversary.


A curated selection of co-creations with MB&F will also be on display at ART SG 2025. Some of the kinetic works of art include the Albatross, a working miniaturised airship; the Arachnophobia, which was inspired from a giant spider sculpture known as Maman, and the Starfleet Explorer, an intergalactic spaceship that doubles as a table clock.
