To reshape time is no small gesture. With the unveiling of the Sixtie at Watches and Wonders 2025, Piaget draws upon a storied archive of creative freedom and daring design. In this new expression, the Maison doesn’t just revisit a golden era—it transforms it, breathing new life into a silhouette born of the avant-garde.

The late 1960s were years of experimentation at Piaget—when jewellery and watchmaking boundaries blurred, giving rise to sculptural forms and new modes of elegance. Among these was the trapeze-shaped watch, conceived in the hands of designer Jean-Claude Gueit. It challenged the expected. Decades later, that bold shape returns, refined with fresh energy.

Shape and Detail in Dialogue

The case design of the Sixtie honours Piaget’s historic flair for geometry with a trapeze form that feels fluid and intuitive on the wrist. Crafted entirely from either stainless or 18k 4N pink gold, you can wear the Sixtie in a two-tone combination as well. A finely chiselled bezel, detailed with gadroons, nods to Piaget’s archival design once worn by Andy Warhol—an emblem of style and individuality.

A Timeless dial design

At its centre, the white solar satin-brushed dial of the Piaget Sixtie offers a studied balance of elegance and play. Clean, crisp, and with elevated contours, its golden baton hands sweep over Roman numerals and hour markers arranged with clean geometry. With 11 hour markers, Piaget's namesake rests where the 3 o'clock marker would usually rest. The Piaget Sixtie is an interplay of textures and tones—restrained in its palette, yet unmistakable in its presence.

A Movement of Precision

With the use of quartz movement, it allowed the Piaget Sixtie to maintain its slim and slender shape

At the heart of Sixtie lies the Piaget Manufacture 57P quartz movement—an ultra-reliable calibre that reflects the Maison’s longstanding expertise in slim, refined mechanics. Chosen not only for its precision, but also for its seamless integration within the design, the 57P allows Sixtie to maintain its graceful profile. This is watchmaking distilled: purposeful, pared-back, and deeply considered.

An Elevated Comfort

The bracelet of the Piaget Sixtie is a continuation of its form—supple, articulated, and composed of interlocking trapeze-shaped links that mirror the case’s silhouette. Whether in a single or dual-tone, it wraps effortlessly around the wrist, diffusing light with each movement. A secured folding clasp with push-button ensures both comfort and confidence in wear. Designed to sit close to the skin, the bracelet is not merely a fastening—it’s an extension of the watch’s architectural harmony.

Final Thoughts

The Piaget Sixtie is not defined by era—it is defined by spirit. A contemporary object crafted with the heart of the 1960s, it speaks to those who view personal style as an act of creativity. Here, Piaget invites wearers to rediscover joy, through the prism of light, shape, and colour.
