DOXA SUB 250T GMT Returns with Modern Precision

Nearly twenty years since it last equipped its iconic SUB series with a dual-time zone function, DOXA has made a considered return. The new SUB 250T GMT is not just a technical upgrade—it is a reflection of the modern era's appetite for movement, precision, and design continuity. Launched during Watches and Wonders 2025, this collection marks a definitive moment in DOXA’s story: a reaffirmation of the brand’s ability to interpret heritage through the lens of present-day functionality.

DOXA’s history with the GMT complication dates back to the SUB 750T GMT in 2006—a series that saw four colour variants, all now regarded with admiration by collectors and connoisseurs. With the return of this capability in the SUB 250T GMT, DOXA not only acknowledges the calls of its global community but also pays tribute to its own legacy of technical resolve and adventuring spirit.

Built for the deep blue sea

Its patented unidirectional bezel features matching diving scales, another nod towards the brand's maritime heritage

The new SUB 250T GMT is encased in 316L stainless steel, sized at 40 mm—making it notably more wearable without compromising on visual presence. With a thickness of 10.85 mm and a lug-to-lug measurement just under 43 mm, the proportions strike a harmonious balance between form and function.

Engineered for water resistance to 25 ATM (250 metres), the watch features a screw-down crown and caseback, along with a unidirectional rotating bezel—signature elements of DOXA's dive heritage. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures clarity under varying light conditions, reinforcing the watch’s readiness for both terrestrial and aquatic journeys.

The SUB 250T GMT Sharkhunter returns with a compact case, a gradient dial, and GMT precision

The SUB 250T GMT is available in nine colour options that include both historically iconic and fresh sunburst expressions, from the vibrant and iconic DOXA Orange to the tranquil Sea Emerald Green. Each dial features painted indices and a painted minute track, with hands and markers treated with Super-LumiNova® for optimal legibility. A highlight of the collection is the gradient dial Sharkhunter edition—a first for DOXA. With a subtle fade effect and all-white hands, this variant recalls the earliest Sharkhunter models while offering a gentle visual rhythm that feels at once vintage and modern.

Swiss-made Movement

A date window at 3 o'clock with a GMT dual-hand, all thanks to a Swiss-made self-winding mechanical movement

At the heart of the SUB 250T GMT is a Swiss self-winding mechanical movement, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. The calibre is decorated with DOXA-specific finishing and integrates a GMT hand for dual-time tracking—delivered through a skeletonised hand with a distinctive DOXA aesthetic. This movement is not merely an added feature, but a functional response to the realities of contemporary life. Whether traversing time zones for work or coordinating from afar, wearers will find the GMT hand a subtle yet essential companion.

Wear It Your Way

Either dress it up with its iconic "beads of rice"bracelet or take it down a notch with a matching FKM rubber strap

Wearability remains paramount in the design of the SUB 250T GMT. Each model is offered with a colour-matched FKM rubber strap or DOXA’s stainless steel “beads of rice” bracelet. Both options are equipped with folding clasps and diving suit extensions, underscoring their technical and ergonomic intent. The FKM rubber strap offers a resilient yet comfortable feel—adaptable from coastal environments to humid urban streets—while the bracelet, with its polished and brushed finishing, reflects DOXA’s design heritage in a contemporary articulation.

Final Thoughts

The SUB 250T GMT is not a novelty or an indulgence. It is an instrument—crafted with precision, worn with intent, and designed to support those who navigate a life in motion. With 18 new references added to the permanent SUB range, DOXA has delivered not just another watch, but a versatile companion for everyday and everywhere.
