Swiss jeweller and watchmaker, Piaget has long been seen as one of the more underrated creators despite its rich history in the industry. They have long been lauded for their work on ultra-thin movements, being one of the first to create the concept to go with its extremely slim watches. Piaget is also well-known for its usage of jewellery within its watches due to its deep-rooted background in gemology.

The brand recently introduced a host of new watches to various collections, including the ultra-thin Altiplano with different complications. Both the Piaget Polo and Polo’79 also made an appearance with new watches for both men and women in a variety of colourways. Lastly, it's jewellery and high-watchmaking pieces round up the list of new watches to come out from the Swiss watchmaker.

The Piaget Altiplano collection has long been one of the manufacture's most popular to date due to its rich history within the brand. Famous for its ultra-thin movement design, the Altiplano series is one of Piaget's best and brightest. Whether its bezel is adorned with diamonds or features a moonphase complication on the dial, the Altiplano has earned its right to be considered the Manufacture's golden child.

The Piaget Altiplano Ultimate Automatic watch features a 41 mm case that houses the Manufacture's ultra-thin 910 self-winding mechanical movement. To go with its svelte silhouette, the Altiplano Ultimate Automatic watch has a thickness of just 4.3 mm, which makes it one of the thinnest self-winding watches from Piaget. It's also dressed in white gold to go with the brand's signature blue hue to give it a distinctive look and feel.

To tell the time on the Piaget Altiplano Ultimate Automatic, you will find the off-centred hours and minutes at 10 o'clock with double and single indexes, surrounded by its open-work design. The watch is held together with a matching blue alligator strap that comes with a gold ardillon buckle with a rhodium finish. It also has a power reserve of approximately 48 hours to go with its water resistance of 20 m.

The Piaget Polo has been around since 1979 when it first made its debut with the brand introducing its take on avant-garde designs. Ever since then, the Polo has been a staple of Piaget's collection of watches that has a dedicated fanbase just for its aesthetics. From the Polo Date to the Polo Field and even with a chronograph or a perpetual calendar, Piaget has been able to elevate the Polo to new heights each time by introducing new complications to the collection.

The latest collection of Piaget Polos comes in two shades of the brand's signature blue and a new, luscious dark green.

First revealed in 1979, the Piaget Polo79 was the Maison's first-ever elegant sports watch that eventually came to define the elegance and spirit of the 80s. 45 years after its debut, it now makes its return with a reborn identity as it now goes by Piaget Polo'79. What defines the Polo'79 at first glance is its all-gold look, which includes the yellow-gold dial, case, bracelet, and indexes.

This is topped off with satin-finished gold elements along with alternations of gadroons to give the watch a distinctive look and feel. The bracelet of the Polo'79 is also fully integrated with the case to give it a clean and seamless aesthetic. At the heart of the Polo'79, you'll find the 1200P1 self-winding automatic movement that is only 2.35 mm thin, a significant upgrade to its predecessor's quartz movement.

The Piaget Polo Field is one of the Maison's latest watches with a slightly larger dial to go with a new and distinguished shade of dark emerald green with a textured dial. One of the biggest differences between the Polo Field and Date is the size with the former coming in at 42 mm in a steel grey cushion-shaped case. It also features a different dial design with a new gadroon pattern to further accentuate its overall look. This is to also match the watch's interchangeable rubber strap, which also features a similar representation.

The green dial of the Piaget Polo Field is also bathed in Super-LumiNova on all indexes and its hands to give greater readability in both day and night conditions. There's also a sapphire crystal case back, which houses the 1110P self-winding automatic movement that comes with up to 50 hours of power reserve while also being water resistant up to 100 m in depth.

The slightly smaller Piaget Polo Date is only 36 mm in size while also encompassing elegance in an athletic form and style. Marketed towards women, the Polo Date comes in the Maison's signature blue hue to go with a steel case and interchangeable bracelet in its iconic cushion-shaped dial.

At the heart of the Polo Date lies the 500P1 self-winding mechanical movement that is only 3.63 mm thin, which gives the watch an even slimmer look. It also has a power reserve of up to 40 hours while being water resistant up to 50 m.

There are two variations of the Piaget Polo Chronograph with the green coming with a steel bracelet while the blue comes with a matching rubber strap. Being a chronograph, both watches will feature two sub-dials on the surface with a 12-hour counter at 9 o'clock and flanked by a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock. Both watches are sized at 42 mm with the green variant featuring SuperLumiNova counters and indexes while the blue features luminescent hour and second hands alongside the indexes.

The 1160P automatic mechanical movement is housed within both watches and will also have a date window at 6 o'clock, right above the shortened hour marker. Both watches will also have a 50-hour power reserve to go with its 100 m water resistance level. Another difference between the Polo Chronograph is that the blue variant comes with an interchangeable buckle whereas the green model features a triple-folding buckle.

The Piaget Polo Skeleton comes in two signature shades of green and blue once more but with a huge difference as well. While the green variant features a steel case, the blue comes with an 18K rose gold case to match its indexes and hands. Both watches come equipped with the Manufacture's 1200S1 self-winding mechanical movement that will provide 44 hours of power reserve to go with its 30 m water resistance level.

The green variant of the Polo Skeleton comes with an interchangeable bracelet, which gives you the chance to choose between steel or an alligator green strap. The same can also be said for the blue model, albeit with a matching alligator strap. The steel bracelet also features an ardillon buckle while the rubber strap will hold the triple-folding buckle.

A vintage special edition, the Polo Emperador Dual Time watch epitomises everything Piaget is capable of. At 42 mm, the case is made out of an 18K white gold set to go with its 136 brilliant-cut diamonds at approximately 2.6 ct. The bezel also features its own set of diamonds as well as the dial, which is also made out of an 18K white gold set alongside 146 brilliant-cut diamonds at approximately 0.4 ct.

The dial also has a white mother-of-pearl centre to provide some contrast against the 18K white gold hour markers. There's also a large date window at 12 o'clock as well as a dual-time zone at 7 o'clock alongside the small seconds counter at 4 o'clock. Powering all these complications is the 850P ultra-thin self-winding mechanical movement with a thickness of just 4 mm. It also comes with an 88-hour power reserve and a water resistance level of up to 30 m.
