Ressence as a brand and a watchmaker has been around for a little over a decade, but it has since disrupted the world of watches with its new and creative take on telling time. Created by Belgian watchmaker Benoît Mintiens in 2010, Ressence has grown from strength to strength over the years with its oil-based watches. Its latest release in conjunction with Geneva Watch Days, Ressence has introduced the TYPE 3 BB2, a new black edition that further accentuates the contemporary look and feel of the watch that won the 'Best of the Best' distinction for this year's Red Dot Design Awards.

The black edition further accentuates the hyper-minimalist look of the TYPE 3, thanks to the combination of oil with a dark hue. This makes the thin space between the discs invisible and whenever the dial gets in motion, wonders occur with the turning of time itself. While this isn't exactly a brand-new watch from Ressence, it's a significant upgrade from the predecessors of the TYPE 3, which was first introduced in 2013.
