Girard-Perregaux & Prestigious Carmaker Aston Martin Team Up
Exciting news for F1 fans. Girard-Perregaux is now the Official Watch Partner of Aston Martin. With near immediate effect, the watchmaker’s branding will feature on Aston Martin Cognizant Formula OneTM Team cars. According to the word on the street, the two prestigious brands will drop a watch born out of their collaboration later this year. But, this isn’t Girard-Perregaux’s first rodeo with a car brand, so why’d they decide to team up with Aston Martin? According to CEO Patrick Pruniaux in an interview with Monochrome Watches, the two brands are a natural fit:
“The blend of mechanical expertise and design is very interesting. Technical expertise is at the heart of Girard-Perregaux but the quest for beauty and perfect shapes matters a lot. The same goes for Aston Martin. When you see the last Aston Martin SUV, the DBX, you clearly see a very strong DNA but also the way it is expressed is very contemporary. This is also how we envision design at Girard-Perregaux.”
