Singapore, July 19 – August 1: Girard-Perregaux is pleased to invite you to celebrate 230 years of watchmaking passion with the exhibition ‘Shaping The <K>now’ since 1791 from July 16th to August 1st at Malmaison by The Hour Glass.

Girard-Perregaux Manufacture

Girard-Perregaux Manufacture, La Chaux-De-Fonds, Switzerland

From the remarkably decorated pocket watches from the times of Jean-François Bautte, founder of the Manufacture, to the legendary “Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges” designed by Constant Girard-Perregaux, the exhibition will offer an intimate glimpse into the Museum collection, usually only viewable in La Chaux-De-Fonds in Switzerland.

This will be a unique opportunity to discover the Manufacture history and exceptional creations that are renowned to skillfully blend aesthetics and functionality to reveal the value of time since 1791.

Indeed, the brand has given rise to genuine innovations such as the iconic Three Gold Bridges that made the invisible visible, transforming the bridges from just a technical element to an integral part of the timepiece – a first in watchmaking! – or the Constant Escapement L.M., awarded the Aiguille d’or at the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix, that solved a problem occupying our profession for over five centuries: that of constant force.

In addition to the museum pieces, the exhibition will also feature exceptional pieces showcasing the Manufacture’s incredible know-hows and authentic designs such as the poetic Planetarium or the avant-gardist Quasar Light that reminds us that while the manufacture respects its heritage, it continues to look ahead, embracing new technologies, state of the art materials, and fresh takes on iconic shapes.
