Patek Philippe’s Cubitus collection, first introduced in late 2024, brought a new geometric silhouette to the Maison’s contemporary offerings. With the arrival of two new references — 7128/1G-001 in white gold and 7128/1R-001 in rose gold — the collection enters a new phase: refined in scale, tailored for broader appeal, and presented with clean, symmetrical display logic.

ICONIC SQUARE-SHAPED CASES

The 40mm square-shaped case is softened by rounded edges and gentle curves. While large enough to command presence, it maintains a slim 8.5mm profile, making it wearable across wrist sizes. Contrasting polished and satin-brushed finishes give structure to the form without adding visual weight. The bracelet, integrated yet defined, follows this same play of texture — with a lockable adjustment system built discreetly into the fold-over clasp.

Sunburst Blue-Grey & Brown Dials

Each model presents a distinct colour story. The white gold Ref. 7128/1G-001 features a sunburst blue-grey dial with a horizontally embossed pattern, while the rose gold Ref. 7128/1R-001 offers the same treatment in a rich brown. In both versions, applied baton-style hour markers and rounded baton hands — coated in white luminescent material — preserve legibility against the textured background. A date aperture at 3 o’clock, framed in precious metal, adds functional clarity without interrupting the balanced dial layout.

Calibre 26-330 S C

Inside both watches beats the self-winding calibre 26-330 S C, a proven movement with sweep seconds, stop-seconds functionality, and a power reserve of up to 45 hours. The rotor, made from 21K gold, is decorated with the same horizontally embossed motif found on the dial — a small but deliberate link that ties front and back together. The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, and features Patek Philippe’s signature level of finish and layout discipline.

Newly Scaled Bracelet

As a bracelet watch, the Cubitus wears as a singular piece — cohesive in design, thoughtful in proportions. The newly scaled version allows for a more versatile fit, and both gold executions offer warmth without ostentation. These additions to the collection don’t shift its identity, but they do expand its reach — not just in sizing, but in tone.

Final Thoughts

The Cubitus 7128/1G-001 and 7128/1R-001 make a clear statement through shape, scale, and material. At 40mm, the square case wears with presence but remains wearable, thanks to its slim profile and integrated bracelet. Available in white or rose gold, the watches balance geometric boldness with a clean dial and minimal ornamentation. It’s a design that feels deliberate—confident in form, but not overworked.
